This 4-day join-a-group safari is ideal for solo travelers or small parties looking to experience Kenya’s iconic wildlife destinations in a cost-effective way by road. Travel in a shared 7-seater safari van (each guest staying at different camps/lodges) and discover the dramatic landscapes and rich biodiversity of the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru National Park.

Brief Itinerary

Day 1 – Nairobi to Masai Mara. Afternoon game drive in Masai Mara.
Day 2 – Full day game drives in Masai Mara.
Day 3 – Transfer from Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru. Afternoon game drive.
Day 4 – Morning game drive in Nakuru. Return to Nairobi.

Itinerary

Trip Schedule

Day 1 – Nairobi to Masai Mara

You will be met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) or your Nairobi hotel at 7:30am.
• Depart Nairobi with a short stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint.
• Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve (5–6 hours).
• Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch.
• Afternoon game drive.
• Dinner and overnight at the camp.

 Day 2 – Full Day in Masai Mara

• Early morning game drive at 6:00am – best time for wildlife sightings.
• Return to camp for breakfast and rest.
• Head out for a packed lunch game drive by noon.
• Picnic lunch in the reserve and continue game drives until 6:00pm.
• Return to lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

• After breakfast, depart Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park.
• Arrive in time for lunch at your camp.
• Afternoon game drive in the park with opportunities to spot flamingos and rhinos.
• Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 4 – Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

• Optional early morning game drive.
• Breakfast, then drive back to Nairobi.
• Drop-off at your hotel or transfer to JKIA for outbound flight.
