Our 8 Days safari departs from Nairobi and visits Samburu National Reserve – one of the lesser-known national parks, but is nevertheless teeming with life. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five).

After 2 Nights in Samburu Game Reserve, we proceed to Lake Baringo – one of the two freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley in Kenya, the other being Lake Naivasha. Lake Baringo is home to hippos and crocodiles as well as an abundance of colorful birds and small reptiles. Giraffe and other grazers are also present to the north of the Lake.

We proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. On our way we visit Lake Bogoria popular for its spectacular Flamingo populations, the surrounding bush and grassland is home to a number of animals.

The Reserve’s herd of rare Greater Kudu makes it unique and other game to view includes buffalo (rare), zebra, baboon, warthog, caracal, spotted hyena, impala, dik dik and many small mammals.

Lake Nakuru known as a bird sanctuary, Flamingo (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 780 species are found in the park. There are over different species of mammals including white rhinos, waterbuck etc.

Later proceed to the Magical Masaai Mara National Reserve Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well spread rainfall year round.

The sensation of the great wildebeest migration between July and October is unparalleled.
